Location of the bowel perforation. The figure shows the location of the bowel perforation as identified during the surgical operation of the baby. The colon was the most commonly identified perforation site. There were other perforations (unknown) that could not be identified, and this was either because the patient died before laparotomy or at operation there was a frozen abdomen
